For some, the appeal of first kisses will never go away.  After all, who doesn’t like the feeling of butterflies in your stomach as your partner leans in to kiss you for the very first time?

And for others, the intimacy and trust that comes with kissing in a long-term relationship just can’t be beat.  The two of you know each other inside and out – and that’s why your kissing makes you feel so special and safe.

So when it comes to first kisses vs. kissing in a long-term relationship, what wins out?  And are they really so different after all?

The Differences between First Kisses and Kissing in a Long-Term Relationship

You already know that there’s a huge difference between first kisses and kissing in a long-term relationship: the thrill.

While long-term relationship kisses can be nice, the thrill of the first kiss is a constant draw for those looking for love.  It’s the opportunity to get to know someone completely new – not to mention that first kisses can make you feel like a kid again!

Of course, that newness can be a turn-off for some.  That’s why kissing in a long-term relationship has its own supporters simply because the trust and intimacy allows you to try out new kissing techniques.  Let’s face it: you wouldn’t want to try out new kissing techniques on someone you’ve kissed for the first time, right?

The Similarities between First Kisses and Kissing in a Long-Term Relationship

First kisses and kissing in a long-term relationship can still have the same level of fiery passion.  It just all depends on your kissing techniques!

For those in a long-term relationship, try mixing up your kissing techniques or trying them in a new spot.  Treat your partner to a beach kiss or give them a passionate kiss before they leave for work in the morning.

And for those who are in the middle of their first kisses, enjoy them – it’s a magical moment!
